Advance Paper Corporation (APC) is one of the largest paper product companies in the Philippines. Its core business is manufacturing, printing, and distribution of paper products for printers, school and office use.
It started in 1981 as a small backyard operation manufacturing ruled paper products and notebooks. It later on evolved into a multi-company enterprise, managing a chain of branded products that are highly visible in the market today. Its strongest legacy is the variety of brands that includes copier papers, ruled pads, envelops, thermal and fax papers, filing folders and envelope. The latest addition to their products are the brown paper bags.

Aside from the consumer products, it also expanded into computer forms, offset, and check printing that catared to various industries such as telecoms, banks, insurance and electricity companies.
Today, Advance Paper is supported by an extensive regional distributors, paper dealers, bookstores and chain nationwide.
Advance strongest legacy today is the strength of its brands, many of which have been part of the Filipino people for three decades. These include variety of brands of notebooks (Advance, Topline and Springleaf), copier paper (Advance and Hard Copy), ruled pads (Easywrite), filing products (Advance, A-plus). Trusted by millions of consumer, these brands remain the market leader in their specific category.
In 1981, with meager capital, husband and wife team began operation with the purchase of secondhand ruling machine, paper cutters, and punching machine for the spiral notebooks and book binding machine used for composition notebooks. It was a modest business that started in a rented warehouse with just a few employees.
By 1983, the company started advertising its notebook with celebrity endorser, and in a few short years, it has established a niche in the notebook industry. During this time, Advance also bought its first sheeting machine, producing cut-size bond paper.
The first major milestone happened in 1985, to meet the company’s capacity requirements, the plant was relocated to a larger facility in Baesa, Caloocan City. With the Sprawling new location, the company started investing in more advanced machines and equipment to meet the increasing demand.
In the late 80’s, sales growth began accelerating with the continuing support of its loyal customers. New machines acquired for more product lines such as commercial and document envelopes, die-cutting machines for file folders, slitting machines for fax paper, cash register rolls, several offset printing machines were also added.
Another milestone in 1993 saw the establishment of Advance Computer Forms, Inc., a printer and manufacturer of computer forms, thermal point of sales rolls, and custom printed envelopes. The Company specialized in the printing of bank statements, invoices and sales memo, airline tickets,statement envelopes, fold and seal envelopes, ATM rolls, and Point of Sales rolls.
Also during the 90’s, to help address the shortage of affordable notebooks for the Filipino students at that time, Topline Notebook was launched to cater to the class C and D market.
At the turn of the new millennium, Advance started diversification into non-paper products to compliment the paper business, thus Topline Diversified, Inc, was born in 2004.
Over the years, various partnerships, and licensing agreements have boosted Advance strong market presence and successful brand building efforts.
By 2008, with a lot of hard work and dedication, the company received its ISO 9002 certification from TUV nord. This achievement represents the company’s commitment to the on going process of maintaining a world-class quality system.
